Josette Nelson

Josette, “Josey” R. Nelson, Esq. is a Florida attorney with experience in construction litigation, personal injury defense, and in-house compliance. She has previously served as an Associate Attorney where she managed complex cases, led discovery, drafted pleadings, and negotiated settlements. Her background also includes legal internships with Discovery Senior Living, Cardinal Law, P.A., and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

Josette earned her J.D. from Ave Maria School of Law, where she won First Place in the Robert H. Bork Appellate Advocacy Competition, served in multiple leadership roles, and published legal scholarship. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Missouri.

Outside of work, Josette enjoys playing pickleball with her husband, taking their dogs to the beach, and getting back on the tennis court when she can. She also loves spending time with her three nieces and extended family.
